Professor Paul Pimsleur spent his career researching and developing a method of teaching language that would mimic the way children learn: easily and rapidly. The publishing giant Simon and Schuster has applied the method to create superbly effective audio lessons for dozens of world languages.
Now Dr. Pimsleur’s state-of-the-art method is being enlisted to help Anglos living in Israel learn the local language. The long-term goal of Ulpan La-Inyan is to help immigrants of all ethnic and linguistic backgrounds learn to speak Hebrew easily and rapidly.
About Ami
Ami Steinberger, MA, grew up speaking both English and Hebrew. When he was teaching high-school students Hebrew, he wanted to experience what they were experiencing - learning a foreign language.
That's when he discovered Simon and Schuster's Pimsleur audio programs... and learned the method. He's thrilled to be sharing it to help make life easier for people who want to live in Israel or spend some quality time there.
